9 Month Check-Up!

Nine Months: Sydney had her 9 month check up this morning - she is actually almost ten months, but better late than never, right?! She spent the entire appointment MOVING - she is now in constant motion. The books, toys, snacks, and water that I packed were not enough to hold her attention. Instead, she crawled all over the exam table, tore and balled-up the paper that covers the table, climbed up to the window to pull on the blinds, and pulled all of the diapers out of her diaper bag (clearly those things are much more entertaining)! She was very interested in the doctor and nurse though - stared and smiled at both of them when they came in. She was zonked on the way home and was asleep by the time we hit the interstate.

Length: 27 1/2 " (50th percentile)

Weight: 19 pounds, 7 ounces (50th percentile)

Head Circumference: 17 3/4 " (75th percentile)

She is healthy and developing right on track. Here are a few other things she's doing these days:

• Waves "Hi" and "Bye bye"
• Knows "Light" and "Fan"
• Can say "mamamama" (Does not look at Mom when doing so though!)
• Knows who Mom, Dad, and Lucy are.
• Touches her nose, head, and ear when asked "Where's your ....?"
• Pats herself when asked, "Where's Sydney?" (See picture below - we practice this a lot)
• Crawls everywhere and pulls up on everything!
• Likes to push Lucy's dog-door open and watch it close.
• LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on Disney.
• Turns the pages to books when reading.
